Many people have helped us, a few worked to make the booth interesting...
.

We did a one hour presentation in the educational track.

People asked us a few pertinent questions.
Here is an excerpt :

What about using version control...
Our point of view ;
This would have been a good idea, providing :
- a reliable network was available. Which was not the case at the time.
- Students had the knowledge, to use it wisely, (from the beginning).
Version Control would have added one more level of complexity.

Some of the strong points of the Basic Stamp Boe Bot from Parallax and Arduino.

Parallax Basic Stamp, Boe Bot has probably the greatest user guide of the micro-controller of this product range. Parallax has an educational kit.

Arduino is fun to program, several good forums are available. Arduino is "The" little micro-controller of this generation. Many web site describe projects using an Arduino. Arduino is also cheaper.

What about giving back to the community...
Each year we participate to at least one main show, SCaLE, sometimes more.
reading and listening to feedback we get, it seems the work we do is appreciated.
Some web pages of our site seem also appreciated.
We have produced a few pages describing our little robots making.

Servos are pivoting from one side to the other.
The area scanned is wider than for fixed sensors.

- Arduino UNO (arduino.cc).
- Orangutan SVP-1284Robot Controller (1327) (pololu.com).

like most of the others robots, at time of the show, this robot was still a work in progress.
